The City Council of Zahara de los Atunes (Cádiz) has decided to postpone Jazzahara International Meeting to 2021 after evaluating the situation caused by the effects of the coronavirus in the territory, as well as the public health criteria related to the limitation of capacity in spaces closed and outdoors, to hold events.
The City Council is committed to the cultural event and guarantees to move the event to a date to be determined within the next year 2021. This date will be determined when the conditions of the pandemia and the situation of the town improve.
The first edition of Jazzahara in 2019 was a success both for the public and at the cultural management level, since the event was the first and only international jazz fair in Andalusia, in a line of work aimed at investing in Andalussia and the internationalization of its talent.
We are aware of the importance of continuing to invest in our land and in our creative capacity, therefore this difficult decision, based on responsibility and care for the health of our citizens, does not exempt us from continuing to bet on culture and maintaining our commitments to her in the future, as soon as conditions allow.
We hope that jazz will sound again soon in our city and that we can enjoy it with all of you.
